This March Break and summer, CentreStage will be hosting drama camps for youth! Participants will learn stage skills such as voice, movement, character development and technical aspects. Camps are each limited to 25 participants.

Camp Fees: $135 per person per week

Camp Times: Monday to Friday 9:00 to 3:00 (doors open at 8:30am), with a public performance at the end of the camp.

Send a Child to Camp

Theatre has many benefits for people of all ages. For $135, you can sponsor a child, who otherwise can’t afford it, to attend one of the drama camps at CentreStage Theatre this summer. Stage Manager/ Assistant Director

CentreStage is looking to hire a student to assist with the March Break Camp (March 12 to 17). This person must be at least 16 years old.

Application Deadline: January 31st

Position:

• Perform the duties of a stage manager as per other CentreStage productions (i.e. prop/costume/sound/set coordination)
• Assist the Director
• Be present during camp sessions
• Ensure that the theatre is clean at the end of the day and the end of the camp
• Ensure that props and costumes are returned to one designated spot at the end of the camp

Qualifications:

• Background training and/or experience in theatre skills/acting/directing
• Enjoy working with children
• Experience with children's theatre would be an asset
• Organizational and communication skills

Site Manager

CentreStage is looking to hire a student to assist with the Summer Camps for eight consecutive weeks beginning July 2nd. This person must be at least 16 years old, and must be registered as a full-time student in the 2011-2012 and 2012-2013 academic years.

Job Requirements

• Responsible for putting out snacks and cleaning up the kitchen area and seating area after.
• Responsible for cleaning up after lunch.
• Sorting all garbage and seeing that it is in the proper containers upstairs and downstairs.
• See that the theatre is clean when you leave, turn off all lights, and air conditioning.
• Be available to take a camper to hospital/ doctor if necessary.
• Be available to answer questions from parents, director.
• When not busy elsewhere assist director and assistant director with the camp (playing games, helping with crafts, producing props, helping with time outs.)
• Whatever jobs might come up during the camp.

Qualifications:

• Enjoy working with children
• Organizational and communication skills
• Valid Drivers' License
