Sara Hastings is an unmarried lawyer in her mid-thirties, much too busy to get involved in any romance. Her Aunt Martha has decided to take matters into her own hands and find her a husband. Unfortunately, Aunt Martha’s method of doing it amounts to having the prospective groom bopped over the head and brought to Sara’s apartment.

Amanda Woodcock was pleased, and quite shocked, that she was offered the role of Sara. Truthfully, being a single professional woman in her early 30s... the role was a perfect match for her (or so her family and friends say). CentreStage has been a wonderful way for Amanda, a newcomer to the Valley, to become involved with her new community. She could not have picked a better cast to welcome her to CentreStage. All in all, Amanda hopes that she does CentreStage, the audience, her family and her friends proud. Enjoy the show!

Brenda Ellis now has one acting credit to add to her Bio!! She recently ended her first ever theatre run with The Last of Jane Austen. One could say that she is now addicted to the stage. Brenda lives in Hantsport with her very patient and understanding husband and two teenagers. Most of her free time these days is spent carting kids back and forth to New Minas, watching basketball or at the theatre. She would like to thank her 3 crazy aunts for providing the inspiration for Aunt Martha. And yes, Aunt Angela, Aunt Brenda and Aunt Moira....look closely....you are in there!!!! Enjoy the show - Aunt Martha says so!!

Mike L’Oiseau - Is he an experienced actor, veteran, or just plain silly to do 15 plus shows? After a lengthy hiatus from the stage to climb up and fall off very BIG mountains, Mike decided that he might just have another role inside of him. So now he just busts heads for romance. “Enjoy and thanks for supporting CentreStage.”

Alan Slipp, a graduate of Acadia University’s theatre program, has along history with CentreStage Theatre, having first appeared as Soldier #3 in the 1995 production of Fiddler On The Roof. His most recent CentreStage credit was as Peter Hunter in No Sex Please, We’re British in 2009. Valley theatre goers will also recognize him from his yearly appearances as Ebenezer Scrooge in Fezziwig’s Family Christmas Frolic at the Festival Theatre in Wolfville. Alan hopes audiences will enjoy the show, but cautions more impressionable members that being bonked on the head does not have quite the salutary effect as the script promises.

Tracy Churchill, presently of the North Mountain, was last seen on stage in Chapter Two but recently took a brief break from CentreStage in order to have the most beautiful baby girl of all time (just ask the wardrobe lady, a.k.a. Nana). She is very excited to be back on stage with such a fun cast and director. She hopes you enjoy the show.

Keegan Martin from Dartmouth appears for the third time at CentreStage Theatre. He was recently seen in The Last of Jane Austen and as the President of the US in The Mouse that Roared. He is currently “a college kid pursuing a dream”.
