Return to Now Playing

Kerri Leier (Director) has been acting since childhood and directing and writing for the past 12 years. Some of her earliest performances were at CentreStage in The King and I, Carousel and Guys and Dolls. After attending York University for Theatre and Education, Kerri worked for Neptune Theatre School as an instructor and the Administrative Assistant. While she was there she wrote her first musical script, JUMP!, which went over so well that she re-mounted it when she moved to Wolfville with her own theatre company in 2006. Edalene, Kerri’s company, has been running ever since, just having produced their first completely original musical, A Brand New Year, and capping off their season with Little Shop of Horrors. Kerri is thrilled to be back at CentreStage and taking on the role of director for Cinderella, Cinderella. She would like to thank the Churchills, her mom, dad and sister, and her fiancée Patrick for their love and support.

Jacob Sheffield (Prince), a grade 10 student from Wolfville, sings in the Annapolis Valley Honour Choir and the Horton Choir. He also dances, plays rugby and does gymnastics. He is very excited to participate in his first show at CentreStage Theatre.

Bob Cook (Harold the Herald), Windsor, manages Elements of Health Spa and is a Registered Massage Therapist and Registered Acupressure Massage Therapist. Bob teaches Tai Chi and QiGong. Bob says he loves being part of the family-oriented shows.

Ellen Gregory (Prunella), Middleton, works at Sweets Forever (bakery) and Apple Pie Pottery, where she also makes her own pottery pieces in her spare time. Ellen has been acting since she was seven in summer programs, school plays and March Break camps. She was in Cinderella in junior high, and is once again cast as one of the step sisters. Ellen loves to play the villain!

Savannah Maxner (Crudella), Canning, has been singing for three years and dancing for ten years. Savannah does Ballet, Cabaret, Lyrical, Tap, Hip-hop and Jazz. She has also been riding since she was three years old, and she shows dressage. Savannah is 13 years old and in grade eight at Northeast Kings Educational Centre. Last year, she attended summer camp at CentreStage and was in A Slice of Fruitcake at Christmas time. She has been in 4-H for five years, and the projects she has done include Light Horse, Dog Obedience, Scrapbooking, and Cake Decorating.

Rachel Lutz (Cinderella), Wolfville, is a grade ten student at Horton High School. Since beginning drama classes at age five, she has starred in Aladdin, 42nd Street and Into the Woods, among others. When not on stage, she is dancing; playing the tenor sax, cello, french horn and piano; singing and doing chemistry. This is her first production with CentreStage and she is really excited to be working with such a great cast!

Samantha Whynot (Cinderella) is from Kentville. When she’s not on stage, she is involved with other music related activities such as school band/choir/glee club, Annapolis Valley Honour Choir and playing guitar or singing. She is a student at Horton High School and is in the 11th grade. Previous stage experience includes Horton’s 42nd Street, Footloose and Little Shop of Horrors with Kerri.

Mike Butler (Tom the Cat) was born in Kentville but lives and works in Wolfville. When not on stage, Mike can be found working as a sales clerk at the Atlantic Lighting Studio in Wolfville. After five years of high school drama, Mike took a hiatus for 10 years until December 2009, when he had a part in Kerri Leier’s production of A Brand New Year. Following that, he was cast as Mr. Mushnik in The Little Shop of Horrors. Mike loves to travel, read, write and make people laugh.

After an enjoyable run as “Molly” in The Mousetrap, Nicole Myra (Lady Lotta Bon Bon) is excited to be stepping into this eccentric role and onto a stage for children of all ages! When Nicole isn’t at CentreStage, she enjoys spending time with her two “best buds” and children, Caelan and Hana. She hopes you have as much fun watching the story unfold, as the cast did bringing it to life!

Janet Westhaver (Fairy Godmother) currently resides in Greenwich with her husband and daughter. She works full time as a bank branch administrator, and when not at work she loves to be in the garden. This is her third performance at CentreStage, and she is looking forward to doing a family production.

Cyndy Kenley (Stage Manager) hails from Digby, Halifax and currently Windsor. She is a retired computer programmer with the Government. Cyndy co-owns Elements of Health Day Spa, is a Registered Acupressure Massage Therapist and also instructs Tai Chi. Between 2003 and 2006, Cyndy stage managed numerous shows. In her spare time, she is a fanatical knitter.
