Are there plays that you have enjoyed, besides CentreStage plays, of course. Please let us know what they are by contacting Candy O’Brien at ecoastobs@yahoo.com. The Play Reading Committee is always looking for interesting plays that could be produced at CentreStage. If your play is chosen for an upcoming season, then you will receive 2 gift certificates to any play at CentreStage.
Have you ever thought about becoming involved at CentreStage? As a 100% volunteer organization, we are always looking for people to help out in a variety of capacities.
If you would like to help out on a short-term basis, maybe you would like to sign up to work front-of-house. You can pass out programs, or work coat check before any show. We will also have short-term projects that range from cleaning to carpentry to creating archives.
If you would like to be regularly involved, you might want to consider joining one of our committees.
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer in any capacity, please email us at centrestage@centrestagetheatre.ca or call 678-3502 and leave your name and number.
Thank you in advance for your help!
If you are interested in advertising with CentreStage Theatre, we have several opportunities.
Please email us for more information or download our sponshorship brochure.
We at CentreStage Theatre would like to encourage and promote our local playwriting talent by offering our facilities and collection of experienced volunteer actors to provide workshopping opportunities for playwrights.
For a nominal fee of $50 (covering costs associated with using the space), we will schedule a workshopping day with the playwright and suitable experienced actors, who will read-through the script with the playwright (with some blocking/movement), providing feedback to the author as to smoothness/consistency/workability of the script, as well as possible feedback/suggestions on the overall storyline of the play.
We believe this feedback would be of value to the playwright, and hopefully help them to get their script into publishers hands and onto stages more rapidly. We also feel this will build positive relationships with local playwrights as we interact.
Interested playwrights should contact Mindy Vinqvist-Tymchuk mindyvt@gmail.com to discuss their interest and scheduling.
