*Special Additional Matinee, Feb 6 @ 2pm
The Ashley Maureen Cosmetics Company has been sold and two of its vice presidents, have planned a weekend off before the new C.E.O. arrives on Monday. With their wives safely off on a shopping spree, they check into The Oakfield Golf and Country Club. They unexpectedly encounter their new boss, and she insists on meeting the wives, commenting blithely "no one who went golfing for a weekend without his wife would ever work for me." John persuades the hotel's receptionist to play the role of his wife, but the only one who can pretend to be David's wife is John. Inevitably everything goes wrong and hilarious chaos ensues.

Mike L’Oiseau (John Baker) asks, “What does one say in a bio after 17 odd shows? I am glad to be working with such a fine group of dedicated people? (Said it before.) I have enjoyed my experience in this zany show? (Already used that one.) Happy to be working with pants on and off? (Yea, did that one too!) I like wearing womens’ clothes? (No...scratch that one!) Enjoy the show! Thanks for supporting community theatre, and remember to have a few laughs on us because we are laughing at you.”

Brian Cottam (David McGachen) is back for his fourth play at CentreStage Theatre with a renewed sense of artistic achievement after having recent background roles in the movie Jumping The Broom and the television show Call Me Fitz. Brian has always had a knack for performing and loves his live theatre roles more than any other. All this ties in with the Kentville based media business Brian owns and operates as his regular vocation (Wild Lupin Media) where he creates his own video and photography masterpieces. Brian would like to thank all of you for coming to see the show and hopes you have an enjoyable evening of laughter and entertainment.

Mindy Vinqvist-Tymchuk (Tina) has done enough shows now to stop counting. She most likes playing "wild" female roles as it is such a stretch (in real life she’s a boring chemist). She is pleased to work with such a great cast and crew. She would like to thank her family for their wonderful support. Her husband would like to thank the director for giving her a role where she takes her clothes off, and plans to attend all the shows. And he adds “Yes, she DOES get drunk that fast.”

Rebecca Crouse (Mrs. Carlson) is ecstatic to have the opportunity to perform in another CentreStage Theatre production. Her previous adventure playing multiple roles in The Mouse that Roared was such a wonderful experience, it left her wanting more. Rebecca is still a crazy mother of two teenage boys who lives in New Minas and considers herself an “unfinished woman” with much left to do.

Dr. LeRoy Heffernan (Wilson) is a semi-retired neurologist. Over the past two years he learned to play the soprano saxophone to complement his ongoing involvement with the bass clarinet. As he felt the need to add another entry to his “Bucket List” he gave thought to the stage as he had long nursed a desire to become involved in any capacity with this noble profession. He considers himself very fortunate to have been selected to play the part of General Snippet in the Centre Stage Production of The Mouse that Roared which was presented Spring 2010. He is most appreciative of the invitation to play the part of Wilson in the current production.

Sarah Sotvedt (D.L. Hutchison) is a recent graduate of St. Thomas University in Fredericton, NB (BA - Media Studies, Philosophy, Drama; Honours – English). 2009-10 President of Theatre St. Thomas and Caryl Churchill’s biggest fan, she has missed the theatre since leaving NB and is pleased to make her debut with CentreStage. Recent credits include Mercy Lewis in Miller’s The Crucible, April in Sondheim’s Company (VYC), Edward/Betty in Churchill’s Cloud 9 and Cecily in Wilde’s The Importance of Being Earnest (TST). She hopes the antics of John and David will keep you as amused as they have her!

Janet Westhaver (Karly McGachen) is back to the stage again and looking forward to this very fun play and hoping she can do the role of Karly justice. Previous plays include Any Number Can Die, The Mouse That Roared and Cinderella, all of which she enjoyed immensely. She is looking forward to working with some familiar faces and new faces alike.

Christine Enserink (Laura Baker) had a small role in The Mouse That Roared and so much fun she decided to do it all over again. She is the proud mother of five grown children and grandmother of two boys. She enjoys vegetarian cooking and yoga in her spare time.
/Elva-Kelley.gif)
Elva Kelley (stage manager) hails from Waterville and is happy to have joined the CentreStage family. It is always exciting to be stage manager and follow the productions from beginning to performance. She is honoured and wants to thank Directors Wayne and Linda Marriott for the opportunity to once again work with them as stage manager for this show. Elva enjoys spending time with granddaughter Kaitlyn and bringing her to CentreStage to help as she does front-of-house duties. Even though she has the title “retired,” Elva spends many hours helping others and volunteering. She often jokes that she needs to get a regular hours job so she can get some work done for herself.

Kelly Westhaver (lights) lives in Kentville with her husband, Brian Cottam. They have a fifteen year old son, Glenn, who attends NKEC. She has lit up the stage (without ever being on it) for BINGO, The Mousetrap, The Mouse that Roared and now Whose Wives. She enjoys being behind the scenes and to encourage her two men to be on stage”! She also loves to help with the murals that are needed occasionally at CentreStage. In her spare time she loves to cook and write poetry.
Wayne and Linda Marriott (co-directors) are back again co-directing Whose Wives Are They Anyway after previously co-directing The Mousetrap, and most recently the Glooscap Curling Club/CentreStage Theatre dinner theatre production of Temperance in a Tea Cup. This current play has been the most challenging one to date!
Wayne has been on stage many times and is currently on the Board of Directors. Linda has been on stage and backstage but says, “To direct is a lot more of a challenge. To see the play come alive and be ready to entertain an audience is rewarding. The cast has been great, and it is always fun to see their commitment to bringing the play to life.” They invite you to sit back, relax, and watch what happens when two guys go golfing for a weekend without their wives....
