Stephen Abbass (The Narrator) loves The Fantasticks and is very grateful for the opportunity to reprise his role of El Gallo with such a great cast and crew. "The good thing about the character of El Gallo is, unlike me, he is ageless. The first time I took on this role, I was a mere lad of 25. That was in 197….Hmm. I immediately fell in love with the character and promised myself I would keep doing it until I got it right. In my real life, I'm not El Gallo…or am I? Hmm."

Sharon Churchill Roe (The Girl) has been seen at CentreStage for the past 19 years, and is very pleased to be sharing the boards for the first time with her husband, Steve Roe. She is excited to reprise the role of The Girl that she first performed in the 1998 production of this play. Past favourite roles include Sylvia (Sylvia), Sister Robert Anne (Nuncrackers), and Elizabeth (Pride and Prejudice). When not at CentreStage, Sharon performs as the Manager of English Language Programs at Acadia University.

Steve Roe (The Boy) is making his CentreStage debut. He is thrilled to be out from the burden of his past typecasting, where he played mostly older men, kings or old kings. His acting highlights include Don Quixote in Man of LaMancha, the Pharaoh in Joseph, both the Elvis version and not, and Toulouse Lautrec. He firmly believes that any typecasting that did occur was the result of his deep voice rather than his hairline. He is also very happy to play alongside such seasoned veterans, and especially his girl, The Girl.

Richard Varner (The Boy's Father) is a native Haligonian and is now happily retired from Nova Scotia Power. Richard started his acting career with Jack Sheriff in Kipawo Theatre and later moved on to the Gilbert and Sullivan Society. He has sung with many different groups including Variety Fare and Bethany Chorale in Halifax. This is his first time acting at CentreStage Theatre.

Candy O'Brien (The Girl's Mother) lives in Grafton with her wonderful family, a plethora of animals, and her garden. Her first performance was 19 years ago in the musical Snoopy, and she recently directed the show Sadie Flynn Comes to Big Oak. She is thrilled to be working with such a "Fantastick" cast and crew.

Brian MacInnis of Hantsport first saw the role of Henry Albertson (Henry) performed about 25 years ago and fell in love with the character. He is thrilled to be performing as The Old Actor, now that he shares so much in common with him. "We both have the same hairdresser and tailor," says Brian, who also believes that Henry and he have both perfected their craft in front of a mirror for an adoring audience of one. Some of Brian's favourite roles have been Nathan Detroit in Guys and Dolls, Jigger in Carousel, Paul Bratter in Barefoot in the Park, and Donnie Bakor in Butterflies are Free.

A Kentville native, Regis Irvine (Mortimer) is currently attending NKEC. In his spare time he enjoys playing computer games, surfing YouTube and chatting with his friends. This is his third time performing at CentreStage, his most recent performance being as Carter Forstman in Any Number Can Die.
